Belt conveyor pulley are widely used in belt conveyor equipments. The runout level of rollers is an important index to measure the smooth transportation of conveyor pulley. The runout of rollers will lead to unsteady transportation with such consequences as off tracking, dropping and noisy viberarion. Serious runout will even result in rapid bearing wear, which will finally influence the service life of the equipments. Therefore, how to keep the rollers’ runout ahead of other enterprises in the industry is a difficult problem of production.

To solve this problem, we established a special belt conveyor pulley reseach team to analyze current process technology and actual operation on site and make use of dial gauge field measured data. The team sorted out some possible problems in current technology such as tool applilcablity, clamp clearance and tailstock tightness, based on a series of tools, for example “man, machine, material, law and environment”, fishbone diagram and brainstorm. For above issues, the team tried various tool bits, adjusted procedure, feeding speed, workpiece rotating speed and feed rate, changed chuck and made standard tools through continuous tests. Mature control regulations on the runout of belt conveyor pulley have been formed in repeated production and validation, which guarantee the runout of each finished roller within 20 strings.

With mature product design and development procedure and professional R&D team, the belt conveyor pulley left a heavy mark in Damon Industry roller family. “Guarantee high quality rollers” is always our commitment to customers.
